ABOUT

Everything Tru Fit Solutions does, from our services to our community, is about one thing: Supporting you on your journey.

We may be at different points of our journey but we are all on the same path of trying to find out where our limits are physically and mentally, and if  we can push them further.  I put my own personal experiences, expertise, and passion for helping others succeed into every aspect of this community so that we, collectively can do things we never thought we could.  We find our limits when we fail, not when we succeed.  Every finish line crossed raises the same question for all of us: “What's Next?” TruFit Solutions can’t tell you what is next, but we can make sure that every finish line crossed confirms that your limits are further down the road or over that next mountain. To us, “What’s Next?” is something to get excited about, we hope that you will join us on this journey.

Brian Hammond

Head Coach & Lead Bike Fitter

Like a lot of you I was a generally fit and active  person who was convinced by a friend to try something new, a new event or sport. For me it was going from mountain biking to trying an Olympic Triathlon, and I was scared. I was comfortable biking, knew how to swim (in the backyard pool), and ran in high school but that was nearly 10 years ago.  Honestly I wasn't sure I could do it. Could I swim a mile? Could I run 6 miles AFTER riding my bike 24 miles? What was I scared of? What was there to fear? I wasn't sure I could do it. Would I have to stop in the swim or maybe a few miles into the run? What the hell am I thinking?!?!

I dedicated the next 4 months to training and stood at the race start knowing I was fit but that fear was still there: Can I really do this? During each leg of the race I had moments of doubt that I could finish but I kept pushing on. I finished, it took a bit longer than I expected, but I made it to the end and after crossing the line and catching my breath I only had one question on my mind: What’s Next? If that wasn't my  limit then where is it? Can I do it faster? Can I go further?  And here I am 20 years later with hundreds of finish lines behind me still looking for my physical and mental limits, still looking for what’s next.

At the end of the day, I am a husband, father, small business owner, and an endurance athlete.  I am not a “runner,” “triathlete,” or a “cyclist.” Yes I run, yes I do triathlons, yes I ride all types of bikes but to say I am anyone of those things is wrong. It’s not how I would define myself.

I believe that as endurance athletes we should not be defined by the vehicle we choose to use on our own personal journey to explore our limits.

Since that first triathlon, I have helped hundreds of athletes conquer their fears. As a coach I have helped them step to their starting lines with the confidence that they were ready, that they were prepared to perform. What’s Next? For me, it's helping thousands more start whatever event they tackle with the fitness, skillset, and confidence needed to succeed. Of course, when the question of “What’s Next?” follows a successful finish, I’ll be there to make sure the answers are easier than you think.
